We were approached by our client to maximise the potential of a derelict former bakery site in Talke.  The site is split over two tiers with an approx. 3.0m difference.  Planning permission had been granted to build 13no. houses on the site, but this had expired, largely due to a lack of viability.  This scheme was aimed to provide starter homes for young people with a mix on one and two bedroom well-appointed apartments (45no. in total).  The site is sustainably located, with all local amenities within walking distance and focus on sustainable travel using cycles and local bus services.    

 

The building sits centrally within the site surrounded by a generous communal garden.
