Ellis Hillman Partnership Ltd were instructed to design a modern 5 bed family home on a steep sloping site in Loggerheads, Staffordshire with several protected trees. 

 

The building was orientated on the site to avoid the tree root protection areas and to take advantage of the topography by creating tiered external terraces, with the internal accommodation spread over three floors, with living accommodation at first floor level.

 

The final building was constructed in ICF and clad in a mix of timber and render.  ICF was chosen for its speed of construction and high energy efficiency.
