YMCA, Youth, Training & Education Centre

Ellis Hillman are proud to be working with the YMCA to redevelop part of their North Staffordshire campus with new much needed larger flexible training, education and support facilities.

The YMCA is the oldest and largest charity working with young people in the world. Across England and Wales, they operate as a federation with 116 local YMCAs that work independently to support young people in their communities. The YMCA do this by offering a broad range of services including housing, apprenticeships, health and fitness, and counselling. The YMCA has specialist expertise in working with young men and women and aim to be the voice of all young people.

The challenging redevelopment of the existing site incorporates the demolition of a single storey area of facilities with a replacement extension on the same footprint that now provides over 400sq.m of new and additional facilities over two storeys including specialist Art & Crafts space, Digital Training zones, Careers and Life skills training as well as additional support facilities and staff offices.

These community facilities will play a role to positively support, inspire and assist young people of North Staffordshire to belong, contribute and thrive.
